When setting up a device, we can provide you with the most basic configuration to the most complex.
Options include:
Secure server monitoring - Test an SSL (https) connection to verify encryption is taking place.
GET/POST setup - Check regular (GET) URLs or enter form data to do a POST to ensure forms/applications work properly.
Image downloads - Download all images/elements to get more accurate download time or download page to monitor transaction times.
Cookie authentication - For sites that require a cookie to get the page; cookie is sent to the web server.
Referrer checking - Simulate your site's referrer.
Browser simulation - Replicate the request from pre-selected browsers.
Keyword checking - Have your page verified against a phrase you select; alerts are sent when keywords not found in HTML.
DNS verification - We use your own DNS server to get the IP address of your site; alerts are sent if we can't contact your DNS servers or they don't give back an IP.
Scheduling - Your site can be monitored from 10- to 60-minute intervals; multiple schedules can be applied.
Slow/failure alerts - After a user-defined number of slow responses or failures, you'll be alerted via e-mail or pager. Notification preferences services (e.g., escalations and exceptions) can be set.
Broken images alerts - You'll be alerted via e-mail or pager and given the link to the broken image.
